Plain-language definitions for the concepts that shape federated compute, government environments, AI, trust, and operations.

Federation

A coordinated service across independently controlled resources under shared technical, commercial, governance, and evidence rules.

Control plane

The layer that discovers, qualifies, schedules, governs, meters, and operates resources and workloads.

Capacitas Sovereign Node

A node where Capacitas controls the site or facility and hardware through ownership or equivalent durable rights.

Federated Secure Node

A partner-controlled site where Capacitas has a defined secure boundary and durable operating rights.

Partner Cloud Node

Third-party cloud or colocation capacity used under explicit technical and contractual controls.

Workload eligibility

The decision that a specific customer, workload, data set, model, and configuration may use a specific service and environment.

Data sovereignty

The legal, contractual, jurisdictional, and operational control requirements governing data and derived artifacts.

DDIL

Denied, disrupted, intermittent, or limited connectivity conditions that change permitted local and synchronized behavior.

Operating receipt

A record connecting authorization, executing site, resource, usage, price, energy method, service outcome, and settlement.

Evidence record

A dated, scoped record supporting a claim, decision, configuration, test, assessment, authorization, incident, or outcome.

Shared responsibility

The explicit allocation of duties across Capacitas, node operators, providers, partners, and customers.

Qualified capacity

Resources whose ownership, configuration, operating state, constraints, rights, and evidence satisfy the defined requirement.
